Nice nice.. I had an eye on that too, A friend of mine was after a cheap motor, but it was gone by the time he was ready to buy anything or I may have been able to convince him to go for it.

Will be interested to see how this gets on:)

Cheers mate

Im really pleased with the car. wasnt as please last week though when she broke down on me. I should have the parts tomorrow so should be back on the road Saturday.

Iv been looking to upgrade my brakes, as what i have at the moment isnt good! Got me a set of these in the post...

which will be accompanied by these...

My main issue is the rear breaks. Does anyone know of a successful rear conversion? Iv been doing some research and found nothing so far.

Thanks

Luke

360 rear hub conversion is easy and a well traveled road. And the brakes are a big improvemnt.

well, got her working again at the weekend.

It only needed the dizzy cap changed, but i did the arm and coil pack too as i had the bits. Wasnt able to change the breaks as they only turned up today :( . Hopefully i should have time this weekend. She may not go fast, but stopping aint gonna be a problem 8)

Iv only driven the car a few times, and everytime it struggles to get up to temperature. Once it has warmed up a bit, i can put the choke back in and she ticks over fine, but the temperature gauge doesnt seem to move very far. Is this useual? is my gauge on its way out?

Thanks

Luke

Sounds like the thermostat to me... more likely than the gauge itself, anyway.

Definately check the thermostat out! Be worth changing anyway for how little they cost and if you don't know when it was last done!

I had a similar problem and thought it would be the temp gauge sender at first, after I did my thermostat it was right as rain :)
