The 1970's was an exiting time to be young!! I really thought we'd have a moonbase by 1999 (remember TV show Space 1999
) Instead of spaceships by 2001 we had a man in a cave attacking America with planes, and all the rest of the crap, political/commercial and environmental (whatever side your on!).
But indeed, no flying cars or moonbases, even faster than sound air travel got cancelled and space shuttle grounded, meh, that is progress I guess
