Looks like I'l end up paying £500-£550, he was a bit "disappointed" with the price, and has no legal obligation to sell (I checked it out) - so offered an extra ton and whooptidoo, pick it up on friday
He has just this and waits a lorry to come nearbysven360 wrote:33 to the gallon.![]()
Must be one hell of a gallon.
Deep in the eBay rules is a clause which states that eBay is, in legalese terms, a venue and no more. OK, so there are folk selling motors there who claim to be able to take non-payers or friday night, post-pub joke bidders to court and win but that's all pure sh*te. A venue, no more binding than sticking the car on the road with a "for sale" sign in the window and having someone come to your door and make an offer..magnumpi wrote:Did you buy it through EBay or direct through him? I thought EBay was a legally binding contract, i know it's a load of toss what with people not turning up to buy stuff but i thought that was the case.
Therefore if you win it for £400 you pay just that £400.
