Hi
Im basically looking to either buy a Volvo 340 or 360 (preferably the three door and the 2.0l version) for a bit of drifting. My plan was to pick one up for around £250 - £500 And then strip it to get some weight out, lower it slightly, and get a bucket seat in it! My future plans would then be a different engine, Ford zetec maybe ? Has anyone ever done this conversion or is there easier conversions than this ? Any other infomation from people that have used 340/360 for drifting or any other form of motorsport would be much apreciated!
Sam.

Re: Volvo 340/360 Drift!
Hi there...
You might want to try using the search.
1. You'll be lucky finding a 2.0 3 door - very rare.
2. You'll be lucky finding a nice one under £500
3. Zetec wont fit and imo wouldn't be worth adapting to make fit given the already vast amounts of engine conversion possibilites.
Search for F7P/F7R conversions, suspension is well covered, careful when welding diffs - the welds can sometimes break and fall off... jamming between the diff innards and casing and ruining it. LSD's not available as yet
Personally drifting I'd start with a 740/940 turbo, more power, more power potential, stronger and more steering lock. However, there are many half done 340/360 drift projects often coming up for sale so you might do well to look these up and save some money that way.
