It's not about value, money, or all that. I don't want the recognition for it being a brilliant design (it isn't), a technological powerhouse (it isn't) or a happy long term investment (it isn't). To most people, it's an old car, and all that comes with it, you know, rust, repairs emissions or all the other tripe you hear mostly from people owning a new car who've just gone through 15K of depreciation after trading it in for another Kia SUV so apparently have a need to go at other people's cars in a hopeless attempt to justify their own useless purchase.

Well, STFU and GTFO I say. I don't give a rat's arse.

Over at one of the DAF forums someone found out about THIS BOOK.

It's got a 33 on it so people are, inevitably, upset about it. Again, who cares. It's a book with some bloke's personal top-fifty of 'crap cars', of which kind at least eight million titles exist. And it's always a rehash of the usual stereotypes. Blah blah belt snaps blah blah old ladies blah blah slow blah blah what were they schmoking haha Dutch people and soft drugs haha. I've seen a copy of the book and the photo captures are printed in COMIC SANS. What more needs to be said.

You can go to an Alfasud Owners Meeting and tell them their cars rust like madness. Well, they know already. And they don't care.

You can go to the British Leyland Rally and tell the Allegro and Marina owners their cars are shite and were built shoddily by work-shy communists. Well, they know already. And they don't care.

You can go to the Triumph Stag Club and tell them that their V8's will overheat. No, they'll reply, because we found out how to fix that yonks ago. So they don't care.

Et cetera et cetera ad nauseam.

Did you also do bids from several cars, thinking you will not win more than one of those bids?

Did that with phones once

I don't think that price level will go down anymore, in my opinion price level is just getting up already as of now.

Normal condition cars seem to be over 1000 here already, 340's bit cheaper, also only 4 360's on sale in whole country, sure there is rubbish that is cheaper, but those would require total rebuild.

So I think at least here daily car status with these is about to end. I could get already more from my 360 than I did pay from it and when I have managed to do all planned work it should be somewhere above 2000 (meaning that my 360 will be very soon my most expensive car) what I could get from mine. Just waiting to see when car shows start to spot this trend of increasing prices

nvdw, I did pay 700 from mine and during all this time haven't put even near that much to repairs and servicing, it will go to garage for winter again, price will get up by every winter, just need to protect my investment
