I keep forgetting about my poor old jack. I WILL change the oil in it.
At least youve got a jack.
jtbo wrote:So does it run same as without the screw?
It ran, but a bit eccentric.
Hard to keep going from cold, but was fine when it was warm?!
A lot better now.
I would advise having a srew over not having one ( )

Mega update!!

The end rubber handle/bung on my dipstick turned to dust and fell apart so I replaced it with a colour coded dipstick.

Decided it was time for an oil, filter and coolant change.
The state of the "fluid" in the expansion tank was scary so thought a new rad might be in order.

To Eaby!!!!

Ebay win: got a rad for .99p.

Ebay fail: The oil filter I got was from a Fraud Escort.

So, first trip to the factors.
Liam knocked the old, siezed filter out with a hammer and screwdriver and it got a load of Halfords 10/40.

Onto the rad.
Buh. Rounded bolts, siezed jubilee clips meant more work for Mr. Hammer and Mr. Screwdriver and another trip to the 'factors.

Image
Get out you rusty cnut.

Image
SOME of the minging rusty aids water went in the bucket. Most went on/in Liams eye/legs.

Image
Old to the new. Shiny.

Image
Oily finger lens fail...

Rad went back in quite well.
Farted new coolant through with an idle and a run around.

Done!
Supermany thanks to Liam for getting covered in shit, and for dropping a giant telly off. Great fella.

Still need to get those wheels off John mind.................. :?
