Does anyone know What the fastest quater mile time for a 300 series car is? I need some targets to beat, doesnt have to be U.K, anyone?

the 300power website is probably best for that - some of the videos those guys produce look seriously fast - i'd be guessing at sub-12..

B200K: 18.7 @ 71 (Me)
B200E: 18.4 @ 74 (SteveP)

That red 360 turbo belonging to the guy from 300Power is FAST....must be in the 13s at least. It beat a Mistubishi 3000GTO VR-4 (which itself may not have been stock), so take a guestimate from there.

cheers

That red 300-series car from 300-power has only 300-series chassis, 240-rearaxle, B234 turbo engine, I'm not sure what gearbox, maybe M90 as it is quite strong.

Heavily modded car anyway, reminds me from those 1/4-mile dragster cars, they look a bit like original but that's about it, was those called Funny cars or what they were?

But that is only way to make 300-serie car to go insanely fast, stock parts just aren't enough, some say that 200-250hp (and 300nm of torque?) is limit for gearbox/driveline/differential, could be so. Of course it can take much more temporarily, but for everyday use there has to be something left ;)

My intention is to build car that looks pretty much like a stock from outside but goes like a animal, maybe someday, now I can just dream about it.

Kev Strong is running a claimed 300+ bhp, but he is gentle with it - rolling starts, etc. I thought the red 360 had a mustang 9" rear end / drivetrain? Also, in the video, it's an 8v....so it'll be faster still now.

cheers

Could be 9" by now, when I saw build pics, it was rear axle from 240 or 740 'sm14', cant remember now.

Insane machines anyhow :)

My 109 rearwheel HPs seem quite small amount compared to those cars
