Sexy wheels!
Is that a 2000 or a stag hiding at the back man?

I'll take a few of the collection. Dad's so far is 74 Fiat 500, Spaceframed Fiat 500 with a delta HF turbo in it, Volvo Amazon, Alfasud, Fiat Florino pick up, Seicento, Triumph 2500 and I think he's got a Ford 100E van coming!

Mine is the 340, 92 Polo Coupe with a GT conversion and a 77 Polo!

Well after a few idle months for the Volvo while I played with my mk1 Polo which still isn't finished, the recent snow reminded me of all the RWD fun I was missing so I decided to crack on....

So this....

....ended up in here!

All thats left to do is to move the throttle body on the inlet manifold, fit the fuel pump and lines, finish the cooling system and sort out the wiring then this will be the daily drive again and my Polo GT can go up for sale!

Pretty quite on the 340 front guys. Moved out of my unit and back to sharing with Dad so plenty of random rides in the back of photos for volvosneverdie . Sold my Polo GT but Dad lent me his Fiat Florino pick up to ride about in so decided to crack on with my mk1 Polo. Although the Volvo will deffo be getting sorted after it!

Anyway this is whats been keeping me busy! Just exhaust, wiring, cooling and fuel systems left so should be running in March

Well been a while but after spending most of 2011 driving around in the 16v throttle bodied Polo the Volvo didn't get any love! I've still got it and I have just finished wiring her up and I runs.... well kinda as it's probably immobilized via the ECU at the mo!!!

Anyway I've got a rust free bonnet and tailgate from Windley's salvage off a grey 1.4 340 in there! Few bits on it if anyone's from Lincolnshire on here http://www.rogerwindley.co.uk/

Few minor jobs to do and it's on the road. Then the mk1 Polo gets a few minor faults ironed out!

Glad to hear you're/it's still around bud, could run it on carbs if you're having ecu trouble?

Yeah I'm still about just keeping have the piss ripped for how long it's taking by the locals lol! I did think about carbs but to be honest I'm an mpi convert now.... 3 years ago it would have got bike carbbed but now if a phase 1 ecu doesn't cure it I'll go megasquirt on the standard fuel setup with a view to running the CBR throttle bodies when the Polo receives it's GSXR600 ones next month

Phase 1 should cure it, as long as all your sensors are working and connected

This doesn't sound like an ECU issue to me (at least, not an immobiliser). Surely that just wouldn't run at all?

Cheers guys.. hopefully I'll have a phase 1 ecu soon to try... pinned out the loom twice and confirmed every wiring twice against the diagrams so fingers crossed that's all ok!

Polo is a 1977 so pretty old and my Derby is a 1980 making the 1988 340 my newest car at the mo lol!
