Afternoon all,
I've had a quick google but can't really find what I was hoping for. My door cards look like this -
Has anybody successfully repaired similar issues & how?

Hello, that looks hard to repair well so its not something I have tried although I have the same problem. It would need a pretty skilled car upholsterer. It would interesting to get a spare door car and take that apart and see how easy it is to repair. Practice would make perfect. I think a slow setting glue and some means of applying pressure are key. Contact adhesives will wreck anything like that unless you know exactly what you are doing. I would get a sacrificial door card and let us know how it goes - it would be good to know how it can be done. Before these cars became so rare, replacement would have been _the_ option.

I repaired something similar recently. I used a paint stripping heat gun to soften and expand the plastic veneer. I kept my hand in front of the plastic to ensure my hand burnt before the plastic! When warm, I was able to massage the plastic back into shape with my fingers. A small spoon or similar might help with this. The problem is the veneer is unlikely to stick to the backing once detached. I've thought (but not done it) that a syringe with a suitable needle could be used to get some glue onto the backing by puncturing the veneer slightly - then applying pressure until the glue set.
Finding a replacement door card may be the best bet though!

Hi,
try to make it worm, use a low temperatured heat gun, or a hairdryer.
Then take some silicon into a syringe and inject with a needle under the plastic.
Don't try to use a small needle, use a thick one. You won't find the whole afterwards,
it's to little...
Once you have injected the silicone under the plastic, press it into form and let dry for about 24h....
The result will not be perfect, because it's hard to get the plastic into original shape, but
it's difficult to get a better result.

This is excellent guys. This is the same process I thought might work. Might use small sand bags for pressure to get right into the corners.
What silicone would you use? Standard home DIY stuff

Also had this problem, I will be good if skandix or another part supplier had new parts.
