low mileage redline

Post by redline » 22 Jul 2005 04:53 pm

Well it will be in about ten years ,today was my last run to Coventry as Nathan will be going to school here in Milton Keynes from September which immediately drops my monthly mileage by about 1500 miles LOL .when I went to pick him up I spotted a blue 360glt in the school car park so dutifully put a note under the wiper advising the driver of our illustrious club , it was in fair nick ( the car , not the note ), leccy windows but manual mirrors and a tow bar with three sockets and a GTI badge on it which was a bit wierd , perhaps the owner will explain if he/she joins up

maybe we should have some form of official "come and visit" style note, that can be placed on windscreens... I see a fair few decent 300s locally, yet never have a pen and paper to hand.... I will often park next to it/opposite it with the sticker as obvious as possible tho :P

The " calling cards " have been suggested before , now I have more time I will look into it i.e. costs ,design etc , I always carry a pen and paper in the car in case of accidents ( I think Hugh has a A4 notepad in his LOL )

I've spoken to a couple of people about an official print out note, (including Aymat who was going to produce something I think), with the details of the website etc, and then if you wished to, a space for your own details so they know of someone when they join up. There must be a lot of people experiencing little problems, that by using the forum they could fix, help in finding parts, cars that could be saved, etc. and they don't know about V3M......... yet.
