Bought a new car ..
Bought a new car ..
Hey all!
And thanks for all the help with my 340DL. My dear Volvo is now in winter use only. And I must say - I'm most happy with it, it has never let me down so far. The reason for this is that I bought myself something a bit more.. hmm.. powerful for the summers to come. A Toyota Supra 3.0i turbo! And although most of my quality time with cars goes to my Supra, I still have time for my volvo also. It has to be in shape, because winters here in Finland are quite long. Plus the Volvo is MUCH more cheaper in use.

1988 Volvo 340 DL - A bit rusty but working
1988 Toyota Supra 3.0i with a JDM 7M-GTE -90 turbo engine - Fast as hell

Nice car.
I have always liked 80's Supras better than the new ones.

There was one 1986 Supra for sale quite near me, almost took loan for it but it was white one too and I don't buy a white car.
1986 is good year as Turbo installation is not restricted, well someday I will find black or red 1986 model around 5000euros and I will buy it then, my dream car even it is bit too heavy for my liking

Sorry, I'm going to change the avatar as a VOLVO/supra instead of a SUPRA/volvo pic.
Yeah, I also think that these 86.5-93 supras have a quite timeless look to them (and IMHO they look a lot more "hostile" than for example the old nissan S13 200SX's) , but if I had the money, I'd prolly own an MKIV supra ..
jtbo - if you're thinking about buying one of these, make sure you reserve loads of money on repairs and parts - it's not as simple as it's with my volvo....
And a coule of pics :

I have heard that there is some 'things' that can cost quite a bit. I'm so low on budget however that I'm not going to get one very soon, if everJaypee wrote: jtbo - if you're thinking about buying one of these, make sure you reserve loads of money on repairs and parts - it's not as simple as it's with my volvo....
