So the LED will burn whenever you hit the right revs, right? It seems like a nice idea. Will that be an easy job?

There is a grey mk2 at Franken scrapyard. Is this the car you also got the taillights from?

yes. drill a hole for an led, pop it in, and hook the wires up to the stubs on the back of the dash
