MOT pass!
Blimey. It passed. No extra bills. I'm not sure I've ever had a car that passed without a rubber gator, or brake adjustment, or weld, etc.
One year or so on and I'm a convert. The 340DL 1.7 is fun! Wish it had just a bit more spark in the 40 to 70mph range. I'm used to the bouncy feel now and feeling confident about its capabilities.
Unfortunatley the missus has found the L plates again! And although we did buy it so she could learn to drive, I'm sure there must be a regulation about not learning in Volvos somewhere!
Does anyone have any terrible experiences about learning to drive in Volvos? Especially white 340 DL ones that run on fuel?!? Please exaggerate and post.

Good for you, it's nice when there are no shock bills to worry about
Sorry, I learnt on our 1.7 and if was great. It's not too easy to drive what with constant gear changes needed etc, so it's good practice. By the time I got a driving instructer to prepare me for the test I was already confident on most roads.

First car i ever drove was the old 360 when i was about 12, i had more trouble with the clutch than the steering.
The 340 i have for a first car has fun with the insurance £1670.99 was the cheapest i got for a 17 yo in the middle of nowhere. expensive when u think that the car cost £80!

Have they got good again? I once got a quote of £950 on a turbo swapped 360 from them....at 18, with no NCB! 2 months later I called back, said they'd changed their target demographic, and they wouldn't insure me on a standard 360 until I was 25. The guy told me to get a Nova and I put the phone down
cheers
