Hey thanks from help
I have one more question, what is space mounting? There was some information that it would be idle stepper motor, could it be that?

Hi jtbo,
Numbers 1&2 seem to relate to the engine mounting, and no.4 must be the top and bottom bushes for the rear dampers but 'space mounting' makes no sense to me.
Can you get the context of the word 'afstandssteun' ( the whole sentance).
What language is the original (repair invoice ??) in? - If it is in Dutch translation is no problem ( Dutch members of V3M - and anyway my brother in law is Dutch). Knowing the whole story should help to identify this 'space mounting'.
All the best - Mac.

Original is that what I did posted
Car is 940 that is imported to here and he got that list with it.
He got this odd english translation about 3rd
3.stationary (speed of engine without throttle engaged) adjustment valve
But really don't know if it can be that or something else

Hard to work with this little information.

Sound very much like the idle valve (all injection systems will have an air valve that by passes the butterfly in the throttle body to provide ECU control of the idle speed) Exactly what form it takes varies with year and model but all 940 will have one. Its function is to provide an air supply to the engine when the throttle is closed (car stationary??). It would compensate for changing load - e.g. switching on air-con whilst sitting in traffic and also provide fast idle after cold start. It can be a common cause of unstable (varying) idle speed.
Hope this helps a bit, Mac.

Yes, I have this old type of idle valve, but I think 940 has already one that is driven by electric motor, idle stepper motor or whatever that was called
Thanks from help

'afstandssteun' has absolutely nothing!! to do with Idle control valve.
afstand = distance
steun = support / mount
you can easily look these two up in a dictionary.
All this doesn't mean I have a clue which part they are referring to. 'afstandssteun' is just tooo vague.
Its the same as an Enlish invoice quoting something like 'connector'.
I call that 'infoless'

Very right there, it is then indeed very hard to know what it is.
Thank you a lot from looking into this, I learn a bit too
Also that guy from finnish forum was very pleased

I think in this context the word 'afstand' is better translated as 'space'.
Is is about a (small) space between two objects.

Hmm interesting, I find it quite odd why that would be on that list at all?
Well, luckily it is not too important thing, might be different if it would be instructions for heart surgery
It is incredible how sometimes there is also things that are quite impossible to translate to other language, also sometimes translation is possible, but meaning is not translated at all because differences in culture.
I would actually like from job where would be lot of research of forgotten languages etc. Just too hard to find such job so I never got enough education
