OK, my go since I'm new here:

Nothing too exciting I'm afraid - a 360 GL injection with 285000 kms on the clock. Have had it for 7 years now. Nothing on the options list except an original 1988 radio, equipment levels already being very low on German-sold cars mean I've got manual everything, tinted glass and a rev counter. Am fitting front fog lamps to it at the moment, not quite got them working yet though ...
<EDIT>
Yeeeaah! Got my foglights working!

</EDIT>
It's got a first-generation 3 way catalytic converter which saves me a bit of tax over here, won't be enough to get it into the city centres in the future though ...

Hey ppls, its been a while since ive posted again but chris_C told me ive gotta put pics up of my 360, so here they are
(btw!! all you ppls i promised A/C for i havent forgotten about you!!!, already have 2 almost complete MK3 kits)... well here it is:

made a slight mess when fitting the PAS (i tried to respray most of the components when i got them since they were in a terrible rusty condition when i got them from one of u rusty ppl in England
but now theres no room for the Fuel filter :\

And heres the few accesories ive managed to scurry up over the last year or 2, rare as rocking horse shit around here and goddamn i hate Blanking plates
Ive also whacked electric mirrors on which dont exist round here but i havnt got the switches to wire them to... but when i do get them.. my next step is to aquire Heated seats
!!! (just that they cant seem to be removed without ripping the heater matts

Only one ive seen around here with headlight wipers too
Damn you English!! getting all the good stuff and taking it for granted..
Cept the A/C
we have em all

I couldn't get round, but how does it feel to drive on right side... ( i know it's for UK, some Africa regions, Australia.... )
My uncle who is now in Botswana, learn how to drive on the left, only he had problems with opening the window
...luckily he had an automatic.
The console for "Right side countries" are completely different from classic.
to biewz:
engine looks kinda clean

BTW biewz, what's that RH switch in your gauge panel? That's not for the levelling suspension is it?

Feels good! As long as you don't start going round roundabouts the wrong way (happens to me all the time).IvanS. wrote:I couldn't get round, but how does it feel to drive on right side...

Thanks for the comments guys, Teh 360's actually a bit dirtier than usual due to our water restrictions stopping me from keeping it spic n' span
I also just noticed those 2 white marks on the glovebox in the pic, so i went out for a look to find they were solder splots from my 'waving about of the soldering iron' during my slightly frustrating installation of a headlight reminder (which i had decided ill be needing after leaving the 360 at the airport for 10 Days with the parkers on -bangs head-,, some ppl need idiot reminders you know
)
Chris; Ill hold on those switches for a bit as i have a bloke by the name of Matt Rawling (anyone know him?) sorting me out with a set and also the blanking plates for the mirrors. its kinda hard getting in touch with him however so if that doesnt work out then i mite be commin to you if thats ok.(?)
One thing that does interest me however is to get as much of the heated seat setup as possible (wiring, heater pads, thermostat, etc) from one of you guys as matt wasn't able to remove the pads without destroying them lol, it may well be impossible to do for all i know... but anyways, thats a query for a different discussion methinks

oh and thats just an electric antenna switch from a 240 to temporarily fill up the gap >.<, i did wire the bulb in it though to light up in the dark so it isnt such an obvious dummytrabitom99 wrote:BTW biewz, what's that RH switch in your gauge panel? That's not for the levelling suspension is it?
better than a blanking plate i guess
Sure, give me a shout if you need. As to heated seats, I'm rebuilding my front seats soon, so I'll let you know, although Adam (340GLT) has already done his, so can tell us both
