I think Aymat has been deleting some... but why :P

Also, let us know how the new GLT is - hope it goes well picking it up. The travelling involved in getting a 360 now...

The October 2004 meet thread has dissapeared from events?! I can't find it anyway... I'm sure I'm not being stupid.

you wont be going 250kmph with a cat on there ;)

the fuel consumption will be slightly HIGHER with a cat, because part of the engines work is going into pushing the exhaust fumes thru the cat. having said that, its not enough for volvo to put it in their broscure so i wouldnt worry about it :)

Is that standard? Not heard of it before, thats pretty cool.

God, I should check this forum more often... This is a little off topic, now but no, it's not an OE item, but an elaborate after-market job. One prod of the key-fob and the car is locked, alarmed and immobilised!! It also has a contact on the dash where an immobiliser key can be used on its own. It's all sooooooooo over the top for a 360 - it has sensors and stuff all over the car and was professionally fitted by a car alarm place in Maidstone. Obviously the previous owner REALLY valued his GLT, to put that sort of money into it!!

Mind you, people seem to nick any sort of motor - one of my cars was hit by someone in a stolen Metro in January - I mean, how desperate is that?!

Of course Hugh was wrong! It's got nothing to do with pushing air through the cat....just like K&N air filters, it makes a neglible difference.

The gain comes from a more precise fuel injection system....plus maybe a different camshaft (if it is different?!).

Hugh buddy...start answering my MSN messages!!

cheers
