Howdy guys - I know its not a V3M meet, but what the hell - there were two V3M members there - one doing the filming (me), and a 360 on 17s in the vid (Al's / Black_360_GLT)

I've seen quite a few vids of that car here...but I didn't realise you don't have it any more! I was about to offer you some help with finding replacements for all the knackered / missing bits!

Hello James!

That's very kind!

But you know the car couldn't be saved, the bodywork was heavy damaged (rust everywhere, kids jumped on the bonnet and the sunroof...) Of course I'm sad when I think about that but I had no choice. The accessories and the interior are saved. It's more realistic (for a student) to spend money in a 360 in good condition.

So I've bought a 360 GL injection on Ebay but some parts are missing... (a little connector for the ecometer, the sensor for the external temperature, the headlights wipers (standard in UK but sold as an accessorie in Europe!!! What a shame...)

Here you can see me driving the 360 GLi on the german motorways, fantastic place to push the car to the limits...

Well that would be really fantastic...

When I've created the website, I had a dream: build a small community of Volvo 300 freaks (hard to find!!!) who could give pieces of advice, help to get some parts and so on... A small but effective network in Europe (and I don't forget Australia of course!)

This is now perfectly working between Belgium and France.

Volvo 300 Mania will be one year old (the english part 6 months) and I'm really happy to see that we have some very active members!

A Volvo 300 mania "responsable" should be an interesting idea in UK. I'm the one for Belgium and Quentin for France. So if there is a candidate... I'm now busy with exams but after that I will work seriously for a complete update and Volvo 300 Mania will grow up!

Don't worry, when I say "responsable", it's more a symbolic function because there are no obligations or constrains.

Everything that we do here is made by volunteers and it will stay so.

As responsable, you would be a "contact point" for Volvo 300 Mania in UK and you will become an editor of the website and forum. (we will add your Volvo and your picture in the "contact" section LOL) You will be able to be moderator on the forum, participate to the evolutions of the website and so on...

I'm cool with that! I'm creating a section on my new website (its been about 4 years since my last one!) for cars, and you can put money on it that the 300 series will be a major part of that. I'm also thinking of making a gallery of UK 300s, and a diary of events, etc. With a big link to this site, obviously!

It's not there yet, but give me a month or so...

How do I feel? I still have an exam tomorrow, so not good

Still...exciting times ahead. We'll have to do a cross-channel meet-up at some point I guess!
