Update and pics of my 340 Variomatic
Hello again.
Been a little while since I last posted.
Anyway, thought you'd be interested in an update on my 340 Mk2 Variomatic that I got towards the end of last year.
It had the new clutch and drive belts fitted, and so far so good.
Today, I picked it up from the bodyshop, having at last got the fairly minor rust on the wheel arches and door bottoms sorted, along with the removal of the windscreen so that the rust starting to appear in the corners, edges could be cut out.
I took a few quick pics before the sun went down and hopefully they are here. I really can't fathom how to put pics on these things properly, so they will be either so tiny that you can't see them, or so massive that the interweb will freeze. If so, sorry.
The car is and will remain totally standard with no mods (apart from the period Volvo alloys) - certainly all the time I hold onto it. The appearance of so many nice 340s at the DAF 50th Birthday Bash last year made my mind up that I must get a 340 Vario to go with my DAF 33!
So hopefully, here are some pics... I mean I really hope they are here cause it's taken me about an hour to try to work out which bl**dy codes and things you use to show pics.

Wow!
Looks great.
If you just copy the bottom code from the photobucket pic, and paste it into the thread, theyl show as pics.
Lovely car.
I like it a lot.

Re: Update and pics of my 340 Variomatic
Thank you! I did paste the code the first time, but I has second thoughts because the pictures were so huge that they didn't all fit on the screen, and I thought it I'd made them live, I'd have b*ggered it up for all!
Might give one a go below then...
Thanks for the comments re the car. It will have a very lazy time with me tbh - what with my DAF 33 hardly being used either. But I have always liked the 340s, and have a real thing for DAF (I run the DAF OC website). And this one just had to be saved because it could easily have been trashed etc.

If you click on those small pics, it opens the big versions! Photobucket auto thumbnails.
I love that car BB, and it looks even better now. Nice one!

That's a really nice car, the 13" oem alloy wheels go very nicely on it too!

Loving that car! The colour, the 3-door body, the alloys and the lack of rust (those sills look mint!) all make it look superb!
