I'm not 100% sure on it yet but should look a bit better when they get dirt and dull down a bit! They're that colour for the job of being visible on the video tho so if that works then job achieved for a total of £2.25 haha. Think it needs some more white on the car, perhaps something white across the sunstrip.

Right then thought i'd update this again as i've done a couple more little bits, removed all the plastic trim in the rear along with the front doorcards, always fun when driving 50miles a day for uni without any music! Also made up some poly side windows, tape is temporary until I can get to the shops for some clear sealant!

Taking the car to Birmingham wheels again tomorrow for the last time before I start building a cage (they want full cages if we're to carry on drifting there). Its due to rain

Another quick update, after having coolant seep from the cap last time after 10mins solid abuse I decided I needed a little more cooling...

Relocated the ricer filter to the cold side of the engine bay..

Image

Also tried to swap back to the v-cam as the torque curve was flatter up top which is where the engine will spend most of its time! Somehow managed to completely **** the timing so Andy came round yesterday, sorted the timing dead quick and gave it a nice tune up so massive thanks to him! Waiting for the pipe bender to do the cage, hopefully picking it up this Wednesday but he keeps promising and getting delayed so we'll see  Then I can spend a while welding it in and then seal the poly windows in after (don't want to get spatter all over them). Going to pick up some cheapy cheap bonnet pins later too so then I can remove the bonnet the next time I go drifting to help cooling if it needs it! Hopefully update again soon

Another update, got all my turbo goodies to get working on soon, full kit is now fitted, resprayed rear valence as it was a bit patchy and filled the stock exhaust hole as it was in the wrong place...

Image

Fitted my big Driftworks sticker to the sunstrip

Image

And got home from uni tonight to find my cage has finally started production :D

Popping it in the car tomorrow to mark up where the footplates need welding on, then back to the fabricators for him to dress up the other weld and weld the footplates onto it

A company called Fletcher Fabrications, really helpful guys, not sure if its up to the specs for some events but its very, very solid indeed, if I shake the cage there's no movement in it at all, it just shakes the whole car and thats only with the main hoop done, once the rest is in it should be nicely stiffened

Popped the seats back in, replaced the rear side windows for the glass again as i'm having too many problems with the poly ones causing the car to get damp inside, and FINALLY WASHED THE CAR! lol
