Well even if it's not FIA approved, it's gotta be better than having no cage at all!! Definately interested to see the finished article.

looks great Ali , all your hard work has paid off,

Just one thing (and I know I have not had the redline for a couple of months now ) aren't the bonnet pins kinda the wrong end of the bonnet for a 300

Nope, ive removed the whole hinge mechanism at the front, kept the roller things at the back so it means the whole bonnet is removeable, just pop the pins and it lifts straight off :D

Yeah, tbh I haven't seen that many people driving without bonnets but there are a few. That was my main idea as last time at birmingham wheels I had the overheating problems so if it gets too hot I can just take the whole thing off, should also make it easier to work on but its a mission and half trying to lift the bonnet off on your own! Weighs a lot but also the shape and size of it makes it hard to lift up and off, might even get a performance increase with the weight reduction! lol

edit: with pic and yes I know its blurred but i'm not going back out in the cold to take the bugger off again lol

Haha you can tell i'm having a really productive day doing my assignment then! I do need to get myself along to a meet, the car isn't insured at the moment though and tbh I think its going to be a bit much driving it any substancial distance, hopefully the next time drifting i'll get more footage and with any luck it'll show how loud it is lol, hoping to go in the next few weeks, going to put more mods on hold so that i've got the option of insuring it, then i'll get a trailer and I can get back to making it more stupid :D

edit:
and also to add to my productivity I thought i'll do a quick line tracing of my car in photoshop, then got slightly carried away starting cartooning it, can't be bothered to finish it at the moment as the bonnet reflections are going to be hard work
