They may be on looking for DWYB events and the like. It's not as scene as just posting/attending E38 meets as they're 'cool' IMO.

I'd be on TrampD more if it didn't require me to own an E36 or Sierra.
Maybe im just not down with the kids (yo, or something) enough man. Plus I dont drift. Thats probly a sticking point too.
I'll stick to me dogging forums for a bit.
Mind you, the weathers affecting them too.

Threads like these always 'take off'. Ironic isn't it lol.

Same reasons I bought mine. sm4

I'm missing RWD in this weather! However it is cool to go down the garage and see it nice and safe from the salt monster.
Short term loss for long term gain I guess.

I cant believe I was COMPLAINING about rwd in the snow when I had the red GLE. Could do with a bit of fun around now.
Suppose its a trade off.
Good fun, but you WILL get stuck in car parks, at the bottom of hills, on sidestreets etc.
Which is nee % fun with a complaining wench in the pass side armchair.

If we want to keep these on the road, we need more repair sections and/or more welding, both of which have significant obstacles. At the end of the day proper restoration needs complete stripping of suspension, drive and fuel tank requiring alot of investment in time, equipment and skills.

I would suggest that anyone who can get custom parts made to make sure the design is kept and parts can be supplied or made to order.
This.

When this forum was at it's busiest, everyone was using their 300 as a daily and wanting to know how to fix things. Now, most people on here are either owning show cars, or drift/power/rally projects in roughly that order.

Repair sections are always going to be problematic I think, until the interest to have these cars as show cars started no parts were there. We'll get more and more interest as it becomes more and more worthwhile for companies to pitch in. This is why it's always worth ringing good third party people (like Nordic) as they have a habit of remanufacturing parts when they sense a gap in the market. They already have for some parts.

It's also really helpful for people to document universal stuff, like the generic part numbers for our wheel bearings is a real boon now the proper kits arn't available. 1.7 waterpumps arn't a stress, they are common to nearly all 90's Renaults, but the 360 one is. I need to get my hands on an old one to see if it can be re-bearinged and sealed, save throwing away the old castings (the hard bit). Same with 340 props, again if we can rebuild them it's a lot easier half the time than getting custom stuff done.

Of course, one of the best looking cars there is and it has motor installed correctly from factory, they put it wrong way in most cars today.

Car is also very reliable and great to drive, has enough space for grownups, cheap to insure and service, at winter it has enough warm for cold days too.

Especially this 3 door side profile is very nice to look at, imo.

I really don't see why anyone would buy car that is not nice looking in their eyes, but I guess for some only thing matters that it has RWD and it can drift    We need more activity right? Nobody did not specify what kind of activity...

Haven't got stuck with 300, it is not all that bad, 240 is even better, but I have got stuck with french crap FWD, several times and on places where I would not get stuck with 300, odd things.

Fully agreed on the 3dr side profile. Mk2 especially. IMO they are full of win from the back too. Just have a less than attractive front end and can look very awkward from say a 70% frontal 30% side view.

I am taking steps to make the front of mine more to my taste though. 340pw

Mk1 front is much better than 'new and improved' later versions, as quite often everything is. 363CS is quite close to perfect looking 300, imo. That would be nice as look a like replica, that much I like from it and I really dislike only looks mods, like 1.3l Corolla that looks like a space rocket
