340 or 360? (bit of a newbie question)
Re: 340 or 360? (bit of a newbie question)
Yes and no, there have been both success and failure stories. It pays to maintain your car well and align the props properly on a 340. Normally the prop will break if there's any kind of strain but it will take a battering for a good few driftings. A spare prop in the boot solves the problems of this. PLUS the 1.8 16V isn't as punchy as the 2.0 16v so your drive train will last a lot longer.

It's renault. Strong engine but crappy electrics. Avoid coil packs and all you've got to worry about is 1 coil going poof.

driftworks might be a good place to start looking. Its a popular conversion, but still might be hard to find just bought. A lot of the chaps on here including myself have done/are doing the conversion themselves. Won't be as cheap either (as opposed to a standard 340 obviously), but depends on condition.

Give neighbours thumbs up
Rev engine to 7K
Exit street sideways
Win at life.
