It's not a small undertaking by any means, there is a reason that currently only 1 manufacturer does them. The investment on that tooling is huge compared to the rest of the job. As to thinkness, I can't remember what it is now. I used to have to heat 5mm steel bar when flypressing brackets out of that but as you say, hydraulic presses are not expensive anymore, most saxo owners need them to change bushes
Indeed, silly bushes are no longer only Mercedes owners enjoyment

Maybe one can get that tooling made in some machine shop with CNC machines etc, shape is not very demanding, but to get it into form that they can make it might be bit more challenging or expensive, I'm not sure if I'm yet capable of getting enough accurate shape made, but I hope to be able sometime in future, how much they would charge from CNC time, or better yet asking from University probably they take customer jobs too, I think that making those 'molds' yourself might be bit challenging.

There are not many 300's used on road anymore, so also it does not make much of profit, that must be also part of reason those parts are becoming closer to NLA.

I wonder if there is already keep 300's running organization somewhere in this world? Such non profit organization would be helpful with these things requiring investments as fund rising would be bit more free than for individuals.
