Don't look at me..!!

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help regarding 300 stuff as I think I've been unofficially coerced into trying to sort out some commercial vehicles plus plant equipment.

Having said that, I've got a plan involving my FH12 with a low loader carrying some Volvo Plant and my boss's preserved F12, but I may be able to get that to bring a curtain sided trailer with tail lift which might be of some use as a stage for any V3M related presentation.

Thoughts??

For something like that to work, it would need an unbelievable amount of preparation to make sure it didn't go pear shaped on the day. Kudos to you if you've got the time to do it. Far better would be to film and edit a video of someone doing it in a tutorial style. Then you can cut out all the boring bits, but you have to be brutal because people have a very low attention span. IMO even some of my tutorial videos are too long. Even that is a heck of a lot of work though, but its more achievable.

Time to prod again - time grinds inexorably on.

Ok, we seem to agree that V3M should have a presence - time for numbers - who is going to come and more
importantly who can we count on to pitch in and help. Both Sat and Sun.

Chris C is going to try to display strut rebuild techniques and I shall do something with helicoils (carb tops,
plug threads) and general thread repairs. We need some more ideas for common repairs - and someone to
demonstrate them. If anybody is coming with worn door pins perhaps we could demonstrate a repair (I
have the factory tool)

We also want a display of re-manufactured parts - and the difficulties of parts supply. Can anybody help?
can I count on Dai, and Robbert to provide samples of their wares for a "display/sales" stall ?? II'll do my
gaskets, door pins, etc. (I'm sure there are sales to be made at the event)

We need at least two "drift" cars and two classic rally cars for a "300s in motorsport" stand - and somebody to
research the subject.

We could do with an extra "gazebo" or two and some display tables to present stuff. It would be good to have
some films running of 300 drifting/rallying so we need AV gear and power (we can probably hook into the VOC
genny). I will bring my 10'x10' gazebo and at least 2 tables.

If this is going to happen we need bods to pitch in - if not it probably won't be worth trying doing with only
Me, Chris, and a couple of others (I have a huge amount to do for the VOC side of things as well).

I'm happy to help however I can. I'm not sure my car is suitable for the stand, but let me know if I can contribute anything.

cheers

When is this meeting? I can only put myself down for helping if i've got my license which wont be for a month or two. If Its june july time then im more than happy to help :D I've got a little kart trailer which would be useful for transporting things to and fro? Ican use it as its under 750kg and i've got a towbar :D I can possibly ask for two more drift cars to attend, one the Grey SR360 being built on driftworks and the other the Grey 340 that was displayed on speedhunters a little while back. With regards to after market parts, i.e coilovers and things, i've got them for my car but i've got to put them on, simply to make it awesome :P But if you wanted to jack the car up and take a wheel off showing the coilovers then thats all good with me. My megane/1700 engine isn't doing anything, would displaying it on an engine stand beside the show stand be any good?

Also, what does BKV mean?

Fake isn't a "showy" motorsport car by any means, it's only the bits you can't see ;)

I'm happy to be a confirmed and can work on some other stuff to bring too. I have a few videos for the loop.

As I mentioned earlier I should be able to bring a 44' curtainsided trailer to the event if needs be should people want to have a kind of 'stage' area to present stuff undercover.

It could well be a good idea. Considering the rain at the last BKV an under cover area would make a lot of sense.

Hope we have nice sunsine this time :D

That would awsome! those cars pushing the drift scene forward for 300s, they arent "my first drifter car perfect for putting in the wall" :)

I'd really like to attend, but I am not definete. Id love to help but I dont think I can offer the commitment as of yet :(
