That is nice to know! Doesn't it make a difference for the renault 1.4 engine? That prise-as is different from a 360 though?

In my opinion that clutch won't fit to 1,4l engine as Renault and Volvo clutches are different.

I would look clutch from R5 Turbo (Or some other R5 rallye/gordini or what ever were/are made currently), then get made proper bores to propeller shaft if needed, maybe easiest route.

But that Sacsh 210mm sintered clutch will fit, at least it is listed in the Sacsh catalog also for 1.4 and the part number is different. :P 228mm Golf disc then again might not fit as I think Volvo and Renault have different bores.

Certainly it will fit when it is listed there :D

Here you can see the difference between the volvo 1.4 clutch and the renault clutch. The renault splines are different, so you cant use it on the volvo prise-as.

Image

Here, on the right you see the renault pressure plate, it doesn't fit on the volvo-flywheel. Another problem is that (I don't now how to say...) the volvo pressure plate is longer. So the renault pressure plate won't disengage when using the volvo belding house. (I think)

So, i think I'm gonna use:

Volvo flywheel
a new original pressure plate
and clutch I don't know yet (maybe SACHS sinterplate, but expensive)

I don't know what to do.. Maybe I try the original clutch, while I know it isn't strong enough.

I am a bit dissapointed because the Sachs don't exactly fit.

Today I've been hard working on the engine:

The engine is ready to go in.

-mounted on:
the flywheel, clutch, housing.
-starter motor
-generator
-waterpump

Put off;
-All the shit of hoses etc.
-renault waterpump
-turboheader
-Inlet + carb

I hope next week the engine can go in the car, but I have still to do some things to tha car.

I did have mount the engine in the car, but it didn't fit. The lowest black part of the engine (carter?) hits the steeringhouse. So I need that part also from volvo. So I have to make the oil exit an the ventilation on the volvo one.

Also needed to change the oil control stick. I needed to change the oilpomp to, because the height was different.

Now the carter fits. I hope I have next week time to weld the oil exit and ventilation on it.

The fuel pressure regulator, its a GTT one.
