Good point, yeah me too, anything quite frankly that's not roadworthy should be sorted, and sadly there are far too many vehicles running around in a state hardly fit for scrap. I think these people who dream up these laws and rules etc are trying to resolve a problem, but firstly know very little about what they are talking about, the effects of making a new car, the cost involved for people who can't afford them and the people who like their older vehicles.pettaw wrote:I'm all for getting rid of 'old bangers' btw, which are scarcely roadworthy deathtraps, but not well maintained older cars.
Secondly all too often we're all grouped into one. It's the mentality of anything between x date and y date is new, anything older than z is just a rust bucket and no one could possibly have an interest in it, and it can't be collecteable and classic because it isn't this old and doesn't have such a large recognised following. Sadly being in the minority makes us an easy target.
