Sounds like your pretty lucky Hugh! Mine sort of worked in my current 360, but I decided to sort it out one evening and robbed the parts from one that did work! My other red 360 has a working sunroof, so I believe, never tried it, been there done that! Opened it up only to find it jams open, then rain looks likely! I'll wait until it looks like I'm going to use it, then consider checking it when I have some time to spare, and some more spare parts gathered up!

Found anything you like yet with regards to another 300? There are more about than you think, but it is finding a good example, also one that's reasonably priced too.

Pete

All the 360 GLT's had the little boot spoiler, which does set them off nicely, especially against the GLE's etc and special edition 340 saloons. Saw the roof rack on it Mick! The saloons just never seemed to be as popular, and they were more expensive I seem to think when they were new! Did it have electric mirrors Mick? E is still an option for them , so I'd doubt it has! How about the extra gauges, especially econ and ambient temp! Anyway, let me know if you decide to go and if it's ok I'll come along! Pete

It's cheap enough! Actually seems a shame to scrap it TBH! Plenty more for scrapping, non-runners, rusty in the important places for MOT failure, but not for panels for using! Pete

To scrap it?! Is that the red 3 door DL? It looks a bit too damn good to scrap, certainly bodywork wise.. you cant do that! :P

LOL  There must be loadsa 340 bumpers about Mick! I've been keeping my eye open around here at the scrappies. May have found one, I'll let ya know. It's whether it's faded badly or not though. That 340 looks far to good to cannibalise! That's why I am going to try and get the 360 GLT F reg saloon on the road again at some point. I can't bear to see it used for spares, so I'll need to replace some of the borrowed parts first, then do some repairs, the ususal rot! Pete

Hmmmmm, I'd imagine the one's with a spoiler are different, as without that spoiler they'll stay up with knackered struts easily and are hard to shut! The glass weighs a lot as well! I can't be sure, but for £13 a side or so you can pick up new struts! It's actually best to replace them one at a time, as figure out which is the best remaining one on the car, and replace the opposite side, as sometimes with two new ones its actually difficult to shut the boot! Also make sure if you replace the right hand one that they give you one with the boot light sensor switch in it! Pete

It does look clean and tidy! Someone would nick it Mick! Or them aliens you reckon are responsible for the recent goings on! I am getting more and more interested in the black 360 GLT saloon! Hmmmm, can I, will I.....
