Welcome to the world of Weller/Minilite hunting dude.
Theres a long, painfull queue.

Yellow fog lights came on Renault 5 GT turbo's and they are the brightest fog lights ever
I stupidly gave a set away when i sold my GTT should have kept them as they weren't fitted.

Whats the matter with the car i'm driving can't you tell that it's out of style?

Yeah I have noticed, and 4x100 I thought would be a bit more common. As for the fog lights, just a pair of yellow bolt to the underside of the bumber jobbies would do.

It took me a while to find a set of wellers for a price i was willing to pay!
I could have bought a brand new set however I prefered the classic weller look. In the end I got mine from rallyusedparts (something like that anyway).
Look everywhere is all I can say! I checked loads of vaux and golf/polo forums.

Turns out its from a renault 19 16v executive. Is this still the right engine, as he says it's an F7P? I'm about to leave in the next 30min to go pick it up. I hope it's the right one.

What a bag o shite! Trecked up to the back of beyond, to see an engine in bits with bits missing or snapped, covered in sawdust ''Bit of a machine shop/wood shop see mate'' where's I reply ''They don't mix mate''. The engine was covered in dust and wood, so she's not really that mint is she? All she needs is a headset and it's done. What a messer! £120!!!!! I wouldn't even give him £40. Oh it took me 2 hours to get the loom off. Have you got the cam cover too??? ''Yeah it's here somewhere....I think.'' Thanks very much for saying it was mint, when it clearly wasn't. What's this bit snapped of here? Don't know, I was going to put an oil pump on it but renault wanted loads of money (propper sales man). My old man asked ''When was it running last?'' ''I don't know....um......2 years ago''.
Sorry rant over, not impressed really. Shit week, didn't get promotion in work, and nearly made my wheel square thanks to the council not filling in holes on the road the size of the grand canyon.......
I think I'll find a runner next time.

At least nobody died dude.
Sounds like a hell of a night mind.
And well done for holding your temper.
Everyone loves a bargain like, but sometimes you end up eating a lot of sh!t before you find a diamond.
Wouldnt life be much better if people just told the truth!?
Especially when theres time/money involved eh?
Comiserations man.

I was messed about a lot by the guy I was going to buy my first engine from. Had me waiting for best part of 3 months - only replying to my emails every 2 weeks or so. When I finally went there nothing was as described and I returned home empty handed - £20 down on fuel and less 3 hours of my life. Jerk.
Put up a wanted thread on clio16valver, thats where I got my engine from in the end. I'm pretty sure someone from south wales offered me a complete engine and loom for about £120 - I'll check my pm's for you.

Hi, I have an F7P I am selling, I removed it this week from my valver which I use daily as I bought a tuned engine to stick in instead. It runs fine and always has done since i have had it. I can deliver for cost and can also fit it if you like.
I am after £120 for it as its a nice one with good oil pressure and pulls very well

Hi,
The milage is just over 100k.
I am based in Gloucestershire but can deliver for cost.

I saw those on there, I'll wait and see. Hopefully found myself a 1.7 so I can get bits ready. Plus I want black bumpers not my red ones, and I need a new boot and bits. I have more of an idea what I'm looking at now, I went down to woodoo's yesterday and had a look at his. Mega impressed and vey helpful. I'll keep an eye out, now I know what I'm looking for and how much I want to spend. Cheers.
