i think that later on it was more so - i mean over here we have lots of mk3s and very few mk2 and mk1 cars, but on the continent you seem to have a lot more early cars than late ones - so maybe the later on we were buying even more cars?

Redline mate, two of each! Who, me?
Well, the figures are (all 360 GLT's BTW).
My parents have owned in the past, two five doors and two saloons (my Dad still has one saloon, though it is not on the road).
I currently have four five door 360 GLT's (one crashed shell however and only one actually on the road an in use) and one saloon, a project for the future.
I believe the saloons were more expensive when new as well, so some people may have been put off by that.

Re the comments about the van , A couple of weeks ago I saw a 240 estate made into a van in Milton Keynes , it had a raised roof so it might even have been an ambulance at some stage of its life , It was white and covered in stickers, it was wearing dutch plates but I couldent find the driver to have a chat

Just incase anyone is interested, as we've touched on the 300 series van, and the 240 estate/van conversion in this thread, I've seen 240 pickups, but my Dad made a 140 pickup many years ago!

Sorry the pictures aren't fantastic. We saw it again recently, painted a dark green, similar to British Racing Green, I can't find the pics at the moment.
