Go with it.
It's your car! Go with the force young man, do as your desire says. I know we all like originality, but at the end of the day it isn't a 250GTO or McLaren F1 is it? Either way you go, it looks as though you're going to have some fun.
Those rims were a pain to do, and the paint seems brittle. Much better to get them done professionally, but then that is £75 each - I could buy a car for that!!

I blame the Volvo 66 estate I had......

Yup, it's your car, do what your heart says.
However, just remember that if you either a: rat look it, or b: matt black it, there will be a selection of members coming up to the toon for a lynching
I reckon dropped 2" on 14's or 15's... preferable Revo's, Teledials or if you can get them to fit 9" slotmags
EDIT: now sure I mean teledials now... these ones anyway

Those are ATS classics Chris.
I think the thing to do is stick to mods which can be reversed easily enough. That'd mean rims, slam, stickers, whatever, but no guilt at having sprayed it all red oxide and deliberately rusted the bonnet.
A 2" drop means you'd have to be careful over speed bumps, and you'd feel the bumps a bit more. Not the end of the world, and it'd sit something like this:

I'm not sure your thread title was particularly well chosen-still beats a flaming inferno I suppose.

Still he's not 17 'til March.
Nice lookin' car

You were in there 1st man. (?)
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, If you really want to buy something, the best thing to do is give the man the money, then go pick it up.
But hey man, if you see me rollin round give us a flag and I'll buy you a pint eh?
Might even give you a go.

Looks a lot cleaner sitting low like John.
I think that photos might be the straw that broke the wallets back.
Its going low.
Decided.
Right John, youre a genius, I need Lowering blocks for the back and shortened springs for the front? over the same shocks? or need to change those too?
It'll snow for 6 months now ive decided. Nailed on.
God knows I havnt got a garage.

It'll be fine on the standard shocks unless they're really worn. Dai (classicswede) can sort you out some springs and blocks. See this thread: http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... php?t=1804
Blocks look like this fitted:

Great example. I'm really glad it went to a good home.
I have a set of these rim style #2...

...for sale.
Tenner a rim? I think there may be a spare, too. They have tyres on, one of which has a nail in it, but the rest hold pressure. The one with a nail in it does too, but that's kinda beside the point...
cheers
James
