I used the camera from my phone, and a £1.49 iphone photo app.

Don't think so, see pic in my avatar? It is taken with 1.3Mpix video camera and it had none of photoshop, still it won that round

HDR's are fine, Chris.
As far as I'm concerned they are a legitimate photographic technique, you have to know you're going to take a HDR shot when you pick up the camera.

Ben, I received yours, it's absolutely fine. One of my favourite photos was taken with an iPhone camera. (2mp) and you can get free software that is of a comparable standard to Photoshop.
