I have a mono twiddly-knob Grundig in my 1980 343 - very likely that that was fitted by the dealers' at the time. Here are some pics of "Volvo" radios from the 343 accessory brochures:

I realised that this could be also in topic "CLOSE - to the end" but I do not know how it looks in english. Or maybe "That was CLOSE!"
And about the radio!

Hey, that's the radio that i first saw in a 343! I was laughed at for saying it doesn't even have preferred channels, because it has!

You tune to the station you want, pull the knob out, and then push it all the way back in. Station saved!
Easy for me to say now, it took me about a year before I figured that out in the Merc

Welcome! That car is in excellent condition. How were the repairs carried out...are they steel repairs? If so, were sections from other cars used, or were the panels beaten by hand? It's an amazing transformation. Those skills are being lost so quickly...
cheers

Heh, it is not easy to find in Poland parts for Volvo 300 for replace. It was beaten by hand, and welded (I am not sure this english word) with pieces of steel from another sources - maybe from refrigerator

This guys who repaired it, pobably has fixed lot of used cars downloaded from Germany before.
It tok about 10 days.
