Yeah, he's putting a T6 motor in a 300.

That bumper is off a s70/v70 (maybe the R...I can't remember). I think It'd look awesome if you smoothed it out and profiled it to fit properly, but I'll be the first to agree that it looks rough at the moment. I'd imagine he broke the grille on purpose.

Volvo Vince has a couple of brand new mk2 grilles - but I don't think they're GLT ones.

cheers

My guess is that the grille is broken because the engine block heater's socket was placed there. Common reason here. Old model sockets were big so they are usually placed at the grille.

He is also putting S60R brakes on that GLT. :P That 16v is a head from B234F so it is a redblock head.

I think the bumper will look rather good once its done, but it will look unsuiting unless the skirts and rear bumper are also done. Specials WRX bumper it looks like they are diff angles, but i think he did a good job finding one THAT close, photo angles rearly match up exactly and then theres the scaling of the photo so i say go for it special. I'm still looking for a body kit design that will complement the car as well as have some functionality, some of the aftermarket front spoilers.... i swear they dont do anything for getting air around/over the car or through the engine bay at all, on top of looking crap, i'll have to post a few pics of the local tossers cars and (one of them is a pale pink torana with an aluminum drag wing, and a height increase, i think its been defected by police for looking so ugly as i havent seen it driving lately)

I think a saloon would make the best cabrio - drop tops tend to look best long and swooping....

That green one is a mess - that 'lump' (the folded up hood?) looks ugly.

Pete - they usually strengthen the underbody to compensate, although another ghetto way is to weld up the doors :) I'm damn tempted to try that on a 300 saloon one day...

cheers

True, though could you imagine that one being strengthened? I've been tempted, very tempted to make a pickup from a saloon! I think it would be quite an achieveable task, weld the doors, as you say, smooth the sides, drop a window in the back, behind the front seats, simple ply lining ontop of your underbody, job done!

Ah well! There aren't many things that haven't been done, or thought of for 300 alterations, but there are many ways in which you can make them different or unique! Maybe one day!
