It's for forming curves...sometimes for smoothing out curves which have been hand beaten. Pretty cool toy...

I've never seen a "loose" mk3 valance, but thought I remembered seeing a picture of the mk3 number plate bulge as a separate weld-on item. That's all I'm basing it on, so it's probably wrong. Weld-on would be cool for me, though, to make the aftermarket item easier to make.

cheers

indeed, tis a sexy bit of toolage
youl never guess who invented it.

its mainly the bottom edge, ie under the spot/fog lights that goes from what ive seen, so at least teh lower section as a repair panel would be swell.

Bl**dy valence was the only good bit on my car, and some F***wit ,,,someones boyfriend, decided to move my car over in their garage using MY jack to fit in a motor bike..after I told them there was not enough space and not to move it. Not only do I have their ar*e print in my wing, but they jacked it on the valence such that the fan (removed) now hits the rad, and the fog light inserts are slightly skew-wif. Thankfully car is now back in my care.

I have a straight but slightly rusty valence from a donor, but not sure whether to replace the whole valence or just the bent bits, or try and hammer it out somehow. Just got the new sill on, still one or 2 (or 75) other bits to do before getting to the front end.

When you've finished slapping him silly, I'd hire one of those handy weld-on-nail puller things and straighten it as best you can.

cheers
