It's not just you. Cats are bitter because they're not quite as good as dogs, and never will be ;)

Thx. It was hard to get only three into same pic, there are really lot of those birds + some other species flying on my yard now :D

Their fillings fly on air as they have little fights at times, but nice to watch them doing whatever they do while myself having a flu at inside of house :)

If they stay here for bit longer, then I won't have biting insects problems as they hopefully take care of that

Here is one bird I have been trying to taking photo of for almost a year, few days ago I actually saw it for first time, it makes weird sound and even you hear it often it is very hard to see as it is so fast. It is called Common Snipe, here you can hear it:
http://www.virtual-bird.com/birdsounds.htm

I had never heard such thing before moving here, only at summer time and only in few places here, don't know how common it is over your place.

edit: there was some sports game which ate tac2's like bear eats honey, but can't remember if it was for A500 or some other machine.

I wait and they land quite near and start to poke ground with their nose and then it is easy to take photos

At colder days it is easy to put gloves and some other masking equipment on, forehead, neck, nose, palms, arms and shape of head are one that should be made less human like, then standing straight is not good, that way without moving fast one can get even to 5 meters.

First 20mins is just staying motionless, after that one can try taking photos.

But now there is quite hot sun, luckily cold breeze cools down a bit, but no way I'm going to wear gloves and long sleeve out there

Something similar to this with some mods is good start, if you need to get really close:

Image

Then again, you could get 300mm lens, much much easier

Oh, that bee was around 3-4cm long. It is perhaps not bee, but that other larger thing, herhiläinen in finnish, maybe it was wasp in english?
