Yes and no. It was roadworthy on the day of the test, and the test lasts for another year, BUT if the car gets inspected for whatever reason in the intervening year and is found to be unroadworthy then it's big fine and even prison time. You wouldn't run a car with bald tyres just because it was ok when it passed it's MOT 8 months previously would you?
Gemmas (Jemma?) 340 is ok at the mo, but given a few more months it COULD get to the point where the rear spring hanger collapses and if it happens on a high speed bend the consequences do not bear thinking about. It does look repairable (to me anyway), but as I said not just anyone could do it. Unfortunately it may well make sense financially to just strip the car for parts and get anther car. However, as we all know our car choices are not always made for financial reasons alone.
I wish Petavius the best of luck in sorting her car - hopefully it can continue to give many more years of faithfull service. If she finds that it's time to part then I'm sure we will all assist in whatever way we can in finding a suitable replacement.
Terms and conditions apply. This post may go down as well as up. Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Hard hats to be worn. No reversing without a banksman. No admittance to unauthorized persons. Stop that. Put that down. Leave that alone.

pff. the bit that held the rear axel onto the leaf spring is apparently completely gone on nessy, and you should *see* one of the front tyres.. didnt stop me driving to exeter (wherin the backbox of the exhaust fell off)
