not to sure as yet but took the backplate off the diff to find only 1 wheel turns at anytime if you spin them while in gear.
Also couple of teeth have gone from each side so could poss be halfshafts
Could this be the problem???
pics arnt great.
Also got some stickers on the car should give me close to 500bhp works on corsa b drivers lol.

when u removed the backing plate did anything fall out?

No nothing fell out might still be in there.
eash wheel turns independent of eash other but the crown wheel dosnt turn with any.

So it looks like you have two problems...welds in the diff have failed, and your no traction problem. If the welds have failed taking the teeth of the spider gears with them, they could be one and the same problem...

Well got some free time to have a proper look at the problem and found all is in the diff
THINK ITS BROKEN LOL
Looks like the welds have cought in the diff and mashed it.
Anybody got/know were there is one.

I have a 3.64 diff from an injection 360 (or 1.7) kicking around here.
You'll need a cover plate (from the old diff) and one of Mac's gasket kits.

If you're flogging it, just fit the diff and let the new owner weld it themselves. Once a diff is welded like this, it's bound to come a cropper anyway so let someone else do it......

Is that a brand new cover plate....or just cleaned / repainted? Finding good ones now is tricky...they're a fairly nasty design
