Ha ha ha!
had a giggle today.
Put a satnav on the vari-ho and discovered that its over reading mph by about 10-15 up to 50mph, then by at least 20 up to 80mph.
So its not fast at all.

Think the rolling radius change on the wellers might be the the main culprit Rich.
Was cruising home at 50 last night and EVERYONE on the coast road flashed me and sped by at great speed.
At the time I thought it was because I have a brake light out.
But actually coz i was doing about 36 mph.

oh yeah, so there is interior pics,

at the kickdown switch!, what is a kickdown switch? oh hey looked it up, its to reduce the noise caused by the resonance that is generated when the length of the spring member is rapidly changed due to the operation of the switch lever.
One of the most common inputs into a TCU is the kick down switch which is used to determine if the accelerator pedal has been depressed past full throttle. When activated the transmission downshifts into the lowest permissible gear based on current road speed to use the full power reserves of the engine. This is still present in most transmissions though is no longer as necessary to use as the TCU uses the throttle position sensor and rapid rate of change to determine whether a downshift may be necessary, thus there is no need to use the kickdown feature in most circumstances.
neat! i didnt know that!

like if you want to drop down a gear (but theres no gears) for sleep declines, moving slow in traffic etc.
Some trad autos have one.
