Indeed as a planet global warming would be far better than global cooling, that's for sure.

Could give food fight a totally new meaning.

Longrange forecast for UK is staying cold 'til atleast end of March, which is worrying,as I'm nearly out of wood :(

Still, got 2 big sheds full of logs for next winter.Felling at the weekend too so should be better prepared for this coming winter.

In January I did bought 8 cubic meters of firewood, currently less than 50% remains, it has been so cold that heating expenses have been more than double from last winter and that is alone in 2010

I just hope that next month brings bit warmer weather, sun is already warming according to friend that has solar vacuum collectors for heating water, quite surprising that he can get some energy out from them even it is rather cold weather.

2-3 months from now and sun produces all hot water for his needs, might consider such things myself too as it saves a lot :D

-28.9C at the moment, still going down quite a fast, around -2C/hour rate, so it seems that cold spell hit really hard this time, I'm _NOT_ stepping out at these temps, good thing is that I took two days worth of firewood indoors so I can comfortly sit next to fireplace wrapped into blanket

Steady +23C around house now, only bathroom is bit of problem, it has poor insulation and bathroom floor is around +1C, might consider turning on electric heater in there, I mean toilet seat does not feel very nice to sit on...

At this rate it will be something like -34C at morning

I know, age is starting to hit me, I prefer softy warm comfy places over blistering wind and coldness

Luckily we got cloudy weather, so temp did not plummed so badly, but it is again -25C range and might get even colder this night than previous one :?

If you put batteries in that clock the red pointer thing will move.

I doubt it, it rather likes to stay there, until the spring comes, which might be quite late if this keeps up.

It would be typical to have -15C at this time of year, so it has been quite bit colder than average.

My fridge has been broken from autumn, so it is not that bad, only thing is that every product is deep frozen, should use cellar, but it is dark and scary
