That's the low-ratio hold switch. Do not operate above 30mph.
The actually kickdown switch is part of the throttle cable wiring...So when you go full-throttle, then just past it, it down-shifts.

nope, no problem with operating it above 30mph even though the flyer instructed it
it is the exact same circuit as the kickdown switch from the throttle cable and the brake pressure swith at the master cylinder

I mean yes.
More interestingly, see the technical section.

Wouldn't worry about that, my soldering's nothing special.macplaxton wrote:Has the de-clutch buzzer driven you bonkers yet?

I managed to hit the low ratio hold switch by accident once, or maybe twice, when going for the bidet switch. Didn't seem to do any harm, but I did wonder why the engine was sreaming its titties off at 60ish.

It's nice when things sort themselves out lol!
Although for peace of mind if your unsure of the age of the thermostat i'd look into replacing it anyway for how cheap and easy to replace they are dude
Either way, good news!

Bitten straight from Proffessor Griffo:

whats next then?
Well,
One of them

Plus one aof them.

And one of them

Chop the pegs, relocate horn press, fit and add coolness.
Then, roofrack.
