Wherever the national is being held next year, May/June time, and £20/year to join the VOC (incl 8 spiffy magazines  )

Be warned though, there are some VERY clean cars out there...they just didn't turn up this year :D

cheers

Yeah, the autumn 2005 issue is probably worth a fortune now. It has a glorious full-clour centrefold featuring our esteemed 'Accessories and tuning' moderator. Priceless!

PV, 1800, 120, 140/160, 200, 300, 400, 700, 900, 66, S/V40, 850, S/V/C70, S60, S80, working cars, Pre MOT, non standard.

The competition is Best Kept Volvo, not Best Looking Volvo or Best Volvo or Nicest Volvo etc.

Basically it must be as close to original condition as possible either through originality or restoration.

To be perfectly honest we all stand a better chance in the 'non standard' class as most of our cars have deviated from original spec if only by the fitment of alloys.
Terms and conditions apply. This post may go down as well as up. Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Hard hats to be worn. No reversing without a banksman. No admittance to unauthorized persons. Stop that. Put that down. Leave that alone.

They'll not notice that :) The bad news is that one of only two 300s in the 'masters' class is a 360 GLS...but the good news is that a car in the masters class can't enter the 'normal' 300 series class :)

Why I won is a bit of a mystery, given that my car is less than mint and far from original. Maybe the judging has become a little more progressive, or maybe they were working on the basis that I had carried out the modifications in a spirit of originality. Maybe they were trying to shut me up after I slated the way it was organised the previous year

cheers

Don't push it ;) I can't think of anything unoriginal on our car, except the seat covers, but they'll whip off ;)

Looks like I need to join. I just looked on the VOc and it seems that the National Rally 2006 will be at Lyndon Top, Rutland Water on Sunday 18th June 2006. Unfortunatly that's over 200 miles from home :( I don't want to put 400 miles on her, she's still done under 29k in total...

Students dont get any better. When they are away from home they have no idea where the toilet is.

Don't you agree Mick?

I like the idea of taking a heap of junk.
BTW did you notice a very unwashed 240 estate last year?
