I might give the inner arches a go with a hmmer to try and move it SLIGHTLY. As any gaps a bonus.

On the other hand, I might just sell them and put the standard steels back on. Ive at least got new rubber for those.

Practical covers, are they still making those?

I have not been a fan of stickers really, but I think you are starting to brainwash me...

I just ordered these:

Going to put them on this...

I Like that sticker dude!
Very cool.

Is that how your car actually looks in real life?

No, it is even more ugly, there is also large lip under front bumper, it does scrape on ground at each bump, speed bumps I have to crawl sideways, it is bit of joke but all aero has applied science behind them, very crude but functional

Yeah, I remember you posting that you were going to do those mods, but I didnt realise youd actually done it. Wasnt sure if youd just photoshopped it.

Does it make a big difference to mpgs?

Don't know yet, so far it looks like to be around 8-10mpg (ish) (UK mpg that is), as I drive only 50mph there might be bigger change at higher speeds.

But front airdam has been on only for half tank or so, must drive more to see how that is affecting, also it would need sideskirts to be really effective, but I have to do some testing before I put those on.

Just 5mpg more and I'm at my goal.

It is quite horrible, but it has changed already from the pic, bigger airdam at front and some braces to wheel well skirts. Front bumper end was stolen by huge chunk of ice that lorry did throw at me, so I did fix it with expanding foam, more recently added sheetmetal and fiberglass to mix.

When I manage to get all shapes right, I make some fiberglass parts for better aerodynamic features, hopefully I can get into 70mpg then.

I'm just not sure where to put those stickers, boot lid for sure, but maybe then front doors, or maybe above rear wheels?

No offence meant, but you Sir are quite mental

Do you suffer from OCD or are you just simply on a quest to reduce your MPG? I know i can't sleep at night unless my change is stacked Queen's head up

It looks like what people predicted cars would look like in the year 2000, if you asked the in 1969.

Hope you hit your target dude. :D

They say I don't fit any average charts (way more stones), also there are rumors of my growling during a night (what, snoring? Nooooo), some say there are not know limits when I'm pursuing a goal (I did cut piece of hand off to get spike/sting off once), but all I know is that experimenting is fun

Front end would need some extending really to get it better, but I think that our laws are not allowing that, but yes, aerodynamic features tend to make car look bit different.

This one is truly great, can get over 100 US MPG:

Fair doo's then.

Well yeah if people don't try new things the World would be at a standstill really, so we need more eccentric individuals like yourself :D

Just a shame we can't look a bit cooler while trying it

Sure it would be possible to look cool, but I think that ZX wagon is not going to transform into McLaren F1 look a like, even Jag XJ220 look a like would be pushing it.

Now driven half tank with mods and over 700km on trip meter, that promises better than 70MPG, but let's see how accurate fuel gauge really is, I drive it almost empty and then fill up again. Pug 205 would benefit greatly from small kammback
