Nice ;) Rather have the Mi16 though... but the BX is noticably quicker, because it's alot more plasticy :P

Nice car, no doubt about it. The BX Sport (forerunner to the 16v) used the same carbs as my car.

cheers

Plasticy = lighter = quicker = good! Plus the BX looks sooo much cooler!

Havent had a reply from the bloke so doesnt look like I'll be getting it though :(

James - wasnt the Sport the forerunner to the GTi, rather than the later introduced 16v (which was the successor to the GTi-16valve)?

I test drove an Mi16... and I love that engine, I was naturally thinking I needed to change up at 6k.. oh no.. ;) BX 16v Gtis are quite rare now and therefore pretty expensive unfortunately!

Indeed. My old housemate had a 309Mi16 then a 405Mi16. Man I loved that 309. Probably about the same sort of performance as the BX 16v.

I'm trying to swap my Swift GTi for the BX, which is also a fairly rare car so I was hoping that would work in my favour!

A mate has a couple of GSAs...now they're pretty damn rare these days.

Well here's my history and they are all Volvos. :)

1988 I bought a 1979 343DL with manual gearbox.
1989 sold the old donkey and bought me a 1985 360GLS(I hate Solex CISAK).
1991 found a beautiful white 1986 360GLT at only 40000Km sunroof, leather and powerwindows(sp?).

1993 I stepped in to my Volvo dealer and saw an amazing black 1987 480ES, only 30000Km and practically untouched both inside and out.
1994 I stepped in again and found me a Blackmetallic 1988 480Turbo with leather, AC and 3000€ poorer(got 4000€ for the ES).
1999 I bought a 1984 "Volvo special delivery" 360GLT, don't know what was so special.......well ok....it looked like new, even after 160000Km.

2000 I found a white 1989 480Turbo that now have a broken gearbox(unusual :) ).
So now I drive a 1987 360GL with B200F, and yesterday I bought me a 1988 360GL kat.
350000Km on the 88 the car looks like new and only 100€.

I take no responsibility concerning spelling and grammar :)

The cs doesn't stand for Carrol Shelby, does it?

All the GTs are good, but a Shelby.... :!:

I'm quite surprised to see so many 2CV nuts here. My Mrs' dad is a regular on the UK scene, and is usually seen behind the scenes at the meets....and when I say meet....how does over 3000 cars grab you?

Rupert saw something funny a day after the world meet this summer...a sign on the M1 saying "Debris ahead", and 50 yds ahead, a rollled upturned bathtub...sorry...2cv. sm56 Ruth nearly got a 2cv, but I...sorry...Nessy managed to save the day.

cheers

Hmm last year when travelling to Scotland on the A74 I saw a couple of 2CV's heading north (one was a very early one). Let's just say they weren't breaking any speed records
