It was a car simulator, with full clutch and 5 speed box, the visuals were on a 3 screen 'wrap around' view, it was a pound a go, and it ruined my life.

Oh, and you could do stunts.
Awesome.
Was that the one with the cow?

I loved that game, ruined me too!
I think there WAS one solitary cow. Next to the barn on the speed circuit.
If you overcooked it on the swooping right, you always ended up hitting the cow.

game over!

Games were harder 15 years ago... lots lots harder ;)

Am vaguely interested in what is in the retro box tbh... especially if the NES has the gun and duckhunt ;)

As to tyres, don't even think about the Toyo's your mate is on about (I'd guess R888's...) yes, they are a road legal semi slick, as are Yoko A048R's. The R888's at least can't be used below 0degrees, and won't like you if you take the car out in rain, or a muddied lane or anything like that. Yoko A539's are a very good tyre, can deal with different conditions you'll meet in the real world well. 13's are useless for getting good tyres tbh.

+1 I'd avoid R888's unless theyre track only dry tyres. They can't dissipate standing water effectively, which makes them pretty ineffective in the UK

Cheers for the tyre advice guys, i've decided i'm going to go for the Yoko's and se how i get on with them. I was meant to be getting them this wekend but my tyre mate hasn't come up with the goods, so will be getting them fitted sometime next week hopefully.

I'll need them so i can fit this lot- Cheers Dai

There is also this to show you as it's been on almost a week now i've been a bit slack getting the pictures up. All done in stainless steel by my tyre mate Mark who also happens to be an exhaust fabricator for RSI. It's quite a bit quieter than Adams get me home setup, but i kind of miss the stockcar noise it made on that system

As you can see, it now has two silencers which are free flowing units, strangely it feels a tad slower, but that may just be my brain equating that less noise = less speed, any experts give there opinion on this?

It looks like this:

It's not exactly subtle but i kind of like it, hope it's not too similar to yours Adam, or is imitation the sincerest form of flatery

Cheers mate.

Yeah my uncarriage is quite clean, got a few dubious looking brown patches but nothing too serious

Should really get under it one weekend with a wire wheel/brush give it all a clean up and lick of paint, may as well keep it as tidy as possible for as long as possible.

Dai does those shocks does he? God I'm blind!

I love the exhaust! My car's a little lower thant that so I'm not going to have the same ground clearance. I need to sort it out. If the car is ever on ramps take a photo so I can see the complete layout for me chum. sm4

Yes, Dai sure does do those shocks, look in his performance parts bit in the offers section, no denyiny they are quite a bit more than LandRover shocks, but they aren't designed for a 300 and you get no adjustability with them.

If i get it up on a ramp no worries, i'll get pics for you. Yours is only lower because it's lowered, where as mine is still waiting for that treatment.

I really need to convey to you lot just how gay/steep my driveway is and explain why the exhaust and splitter already scrape on it, i'll see what i can do

Cheers mate obviously wouldn't have been possible without your help.

Are they ever finished lol?

How's the idle speed control thing getting on, having anyluck?

Noticed my diff is making more noise than it used to, is it in it's death throws, or just needs topping up, nothing clonking, more of a whiring noise :?

*touch wood*, my diff's been fine so far, and mine should have about the same power as yours. Mine was treated to brand new 90W oil and a 'mac' gasket though. Worth considering for the £10 outlay. :D
