Not surprised about 13's.... the guy at the tyre shop even commented 185/60/14's are getting uncommon now

Hi Steve.
The car is looking great. As for tyres,i got lucky with mine. I was looking through are local free ads paper
and some bloke was selling four new tyres, exactly the right size for a tenner each. I thought it was a misprint,
but i phoned him anyway. He told me he had them fitted to his car,the head gasket blew on the car so he scraped
the car and kept the wheels and just wanted rid of them. I was round to his house double quick and didn't even
haggle with the price.
Cheers Mark. sm4

I love stories like that Mark.
Makes me endless hours of bargain hunting seem like possibly not such of a waste of time as our lass keeps stating they are.

What a pimp-ass car it is! Unfortunately, someone has parked a 360 GLS in the way... ;)

Looking good bud. Just need that....ahem...spoiler and GLT front lip and you're away.

Looking great Steve!Your car really is in greta condition. I can't blame you for wanting to keep it away from the salt!

The wheels look spot on! Is she getting a little hit with the stick or staying stock?

I have all of the above bar the carbs and cam... struggling to find a K cam actually, does anyone know of any or an alternative? Also have smiths econ and ambient temperature gauge to fit too! Also have a snowcap somewhere but I couldn't find it on Saturday

As for a drop, probably not as I'm happy with it looking grandad spec :D I dunno, the suspension does need something doing to it... but I'll probably just go for gas shocks, stiffer front springs and maybe an upgrade to glt rear leafs.

What I am a bit concerned about is what it's going to be like with a cam and webers. As it still seems rather reluctant to rev past 4k (I know it's a redblock but still...) and it revs kinda slow, a combination of perhaps the diff ratio and heavy flywheel maybe? Any thoughts? As it is the power delivery makes a great daily car, but if it's not being used as a daily car... hmph! The way it pulls from low down in third (a rather tall gear in this!) is pretty impressive.
