Chavs in a 360 GLT
Chavs in a 360 GLT
I hate Lee Boardman. However, ever wondered what the limits of a 300 is?

I swear I recognise that 360 as well

Re: Chavs in a 360 GLT
Hi all.
I once drove 8 people from Belfast to Newtownard with 8 people in the car.
I came back with 9 in the car. The car was an HC Vauxhall Viva. Those were the days.
Cheers Mark.

Re: Chavs in a 360 GLT
back in the day, we did a few ridiculous drives around North down with 9 or 10 in my mark 1, but our record was 11 in a Mini Metro. its just a matter of trying.

4 people in a Trabant. Legal, but about as tight as 10 in a Volvo

Re: Chavs in a 360 GLT
In my 360, 1 person + me, nobody has sit on rear seat at least in 7 years, and only 3 times there has been someone on passenger seat during that time, Seats are in great condition, or rather would be, at some point of it's life, it has seen some chavs or close to those as there are some cigarette markings on seats etc, luckily there is no smell of smokers car.

Re: Chavs in a 360 GLT
Done it once or twice, but having thought about it more, I've done it far more than I thought I did when I was younger
6 in a Citroen Dyane 2F/4R & 3F/3R (second method is fine if the chick in the middle is nae a fat burd
)
6 in a Reliant Regal saloon (2F/ 3R / 1 somewhere across the middle on top of the pile) is far less comfortable than...
7 in a Wolseley 16/60 (3F/4R) (another easy car to have 3 up front as it was a column selector auto)
6 in a Austin 1100 isn't too bad (2F/ 4R). I did get spotted by a single policeman sitting in his panda car when I entered the top of town. He didn't set the lights going, but followed, quite a bit behind as he had to get out of his side road. I turned off and lost him and when he did catch up with me, I lost my additional passenger by then
I think those were last resort decisions and quite often I ended up doubling up the trips rather than overloading the car.

9 in a fiesta including one in the boot.
My van was probably the best 3 in the front and 8 in the back. All on the way back from a rave. was funny unloading in front of the local hospital just people pouring out the back.

Re: Chavs in a 360 GLT
With lowering blocks on the volvo and 3 passengers along the bench my rear wheels used to disappear into the arches. maybe that was 1 of the reasons for taking the seats out, anyway on the theme of Police camera action: "Lets have a look at what this idiot did, In America!"
