reckon this could be a scam

Post by turnbullj » 19 Oct 2010 11:07 pm

Saw this on gumtree, thought it might be worth a e-mail as its just up the road......

http://edinburgh.gumtree.com/edinburgh/37/67096737.html

but took a closer look at the pic and its got vario vents but states its a manual and also the wipers are on the wrong side

since when have people started putting scams up on old volvos I only thought it was only on 59plate beemers at £5K haha, just thought I should post it in case anyones been thinking about mailing them

Steering wheels on wrong side too I think! Pictures not been reversed cos the Volvo badge on the wing is correct. Either someones 'borrowed' a picture off the internet cos they hav'nt been bothered/can't get one or there's something fishy about this one. Bargepole and wouldn't touch spring to mind!

We're probably being over suspicious, can't see how it's a scam unless the car has to be picked up from Nigeria or something

No offense intended to Nigerian 300 fans :P

Unless its just a Email harvester. Logs and passes on your email address to promotion companies.
Or a peak rate £50 a minute contact telephone number?

It certainly looks suspicious but id be intrested to know how it pays.
