New user - old 340 (+pics)

Post by cabbage340 » 29 Oct 2010 06:09 pm

Hi all

Just found this site and thought we would put some happy fond memories of our beloved volvo 340. We had 5 years of complete worry free motoring, then got up one morning and she had been pranged. :x :o :x We tried to get the parts for her to put her back to her former glory but it was too hard and needed a car for transport. (We live in Dorset and there are no scrapyards here!) So we had to let her go and I broke my heart for 3 days!! Now on the look out for another. :)
Lets hope we are lucky very soon and will post new photo's of our new one when we get her!
In the 5 years we had her we had SUCH FUN. She never ever let us down. Went all over the country and europe in her sleeping in the back. God bless her.

First time ive seen a laptop in a 300
Good luck with the hunt, theres fewer good ones if you dont want a failed drift project but im sure youll dig one up.

Yeah you'll struggle down there but theres a half decent one at the Clay Pigeon cart track and another near Dorchester. Just phone ahead to see if they've got one in.

Thanks speedy88 for reply posted but unforntately we had to let the car go. We went to the scrapyard near the Clay Pegeon Shooting ground and asked if they had any volvo 340 or simirlar with compatibility and they hadn't. Don't know where the one near Dorchester is though. Where are you Speedy88 sounds like you know this area?

Poole, I've spent years trying to find parts for old cars around here. Normally one of those 2 have a 300 in as their yards are so big. Also my mistake, the other scrappy is near Shaftesbury - SP7 9AQ

Shame about the car, looks like you'll have to get another one which doesn't need parts
