I have a question. I can't make an avatar under 10 kb that still looks good. I resise them with photoshop. How does everyone else make them small and still look sharp?

I've tried with photoshop and in any format or resolution they were all too big! I copied the same image from photoshop into a cheap image editor and saved it at a higher resolution, which seemed to have more compression, but still looked ok for a small enough size to be allowed. Worth a try copying into any other image editor you have.

Try
Infranview.
It's for free and it is great to resize imgaes with!
It has a real good compression rate too so images will be quite small.

what i had to do
make my image in photo shop, save it. open it in mspaint, select all, copy, then close the image. then start a new image, paste the copied image over, then save the image. voila, 6k image instead of 25k

Install Infranview.
Open picture you want to have.
Save as.
Done
You can resize or resample your images too to make them even smaller.
It is a great and simple program.

After regestering you will never hear of them again and in the future your resising will be way faster and without the quality loss most programs give you.
