the other day i was visiting a friends garage. just behind his unit are a couple of banger racing loons and there yard was open. well some much needed trespassing was in order and while mooching i found an old jag poss s-type or mk2 and alot of 240's. one of the 240s was a two door type of which ive never seen before and it had a really low vinyl roof and i think it was styled by bertone.
just wondering if anyone has any more info on these cars n whether its worth saving (it was mint btw)

What you thought was a 240 will have been 262c model.

It saddens me that today parking lots are not filled with such variety in shape and size, there is also another Volvo in that pic, or is it a DAF?

yep thats the same shape but this one didnt have the crown on the side of the roof, it had a B (bertone i think)
and it had later rear lights

Looks like a DAF 55

Yep

The DAF in that picture is a Volvo 66. So in other words, a DAF 66 with big bumpers and different transmission selector lever.

And the Volvo 262C is indeed a rare beast. Was never what you could call a big seller, even when new.

I was going say that Mr B, but I'll add that it looks like a Combi too.

I think to the left is a Honda Civic and a Fiat 127. Second from right looks like a Renault 20. Don't know about the rest.

White Renault, Yellow Trabant(?) might be Sunbeam Imp too?, Datsun Z 280 next to garbage bin thing, next to Volvo in question is Citroen, maybe DS?

Behind Volvo one might be Mercedes, chrome window frames. Fiat, Civic and Volvo 66 as already mentioned. There are four that I dare not to guess, but next to Volvo in question is perhaps Porsche 924, however better not make any claims as it is so little I can see.
